The program is designed to produce highly qualified people who have an in-depth knowledge, skills and the appropriate attitude to serve as change agent to facilitate grass root development in both public and private sector of the economy. The program is designed in such a way that it responds to the needs of the job market as a result our products are marketable. The program is unique in the sense that trainees are exposed to both theoretical and practical development and its related issues at both national and international level. As part of the training program trainees spend at least two months each year during which they are exposed to practical development and related issues and also practice some of the theories learnt in the four corners of classroom. The program focuses on development as a cross cutting issue with emphasis on a range of topics that sharpen the trainees’ critical awareness of the importance of development as distinct field of study. The program is designed in such a way that the trainees upon successful completion can easily find their way into the university and any other tertiary institution at both national and international. Due to the fact that the program responds to the needs of the job market, trainees upon successful completion can work in many agencies, department, institution within the private and public.
